Main Project activities

 

ZAPROM research activities:

  • Elaboration of 2 National databases;
  • Realisation of in-depths interviews (90 interviews altogether);
  • Preparation of 2 national reports and 1 overall integral expert study report and
  • Publishing of 4 expert articles published in expert journals

 

ZAPROM training and awareness raising activities:

  • Organisation of 2 workshops ˝Discrimination will not stop me to find a job˝ (for Roma with emphasis on Roma women and youth);
  • Organisation of 2 seminars ˝Am I aware of discriminatory behaviour in the process of hiring of new colleagues?˝ (for CEO and human resource department personnel of public and private enterprises) and
  • Organisation of 2 seminars ˝How can I help Roma to improve their employability˝ (for local stakeholder and experts dealing with Roma inclusion activities).

 

ZAPROM policy development

  • Elaboration of 2 Multi-stakeholder methodology/model of good practices for Roma inclusion;
  • Elaboration of 2 Roma employment strategies as supplement to the diversity charter;
  • Elaboration of project recommendations and
  • Organisation of Expert round table on Roma employment opportunities

 

ZAPROM dissemination of project results and expert knowledge

  • Preparation of Project leaflet, webpage and dissemination on social media;
  • Preparation of 4 Project newsletters;
  • Regular communication with Media;
  • Organisation of the Project Concluding conference and
  • Publishing the Project Expert publication

 

Foreseen project results

  • Empowered members of Roma community, especially women and youth for accessing the labour market and their increased employment rate and thus improved their socio-economic situation in long term
  • Diminished stereotypes of Roma among CEOs and relevant personnel of public and private enterprises and as a consequence more employment opportunities for Roma, especially women and youth
  • Increased human and institutional capacities of local stakeholder and experts dealing with Roma inclusion activities.
  • Improved national and local instruments and programs dedicated to employment, education, health and functioning of local communities with proposals concerning the specific needs of Roma, especially employment opportunities for them
  • Elaborated practical examples for implementing the diversity charter in Slovenia and promotion of it in Serbia
  • Raised awareness of majority people on the barriers emanating from discrimination and other reasons with which are Roma confronted in their endeavours for integration with emphasis on discrimination in labour market
  • Elaborated model of good practices which will ensure the sustainability of project’s results and could be transferred and implemented in other Western Balkans and EU countries with similar circumstances.
